Emanuela Damiani

UX Designer for Firefox

Who are you ?

Just a girl who loves the internet.

What do you do for a living ?

I work every day for the best browser experience at Firefox. I fell in love with the Web at a young age, and since then I never stopped studying and learning it. In my career, I helped companies and organization to innovate through design practices. Nowadays I’m exploring design systems for complex, mutable environments, aim to enable everyone to understand and use design while shaping the experience for extensions and themes users.

What do you want to speak about at FlowCon ?

A design process can be extraordinarily structured, or entirely missing. Either way, it often requires a remarkable number of conversations with all the stakeholders involves, including people from different departments and the users. But, what does happen when we add the unpredictable power of a community? In this talk, I’ll share my thoughts, fears and views on working for an open-source product.

What will make you say “waouh” at the end of the conference ?

Amazing food and great conversations!

What will make you think that attendees have learnt a lot during your session ?

Questions after the talk are always a great way to know if people enjoyed your talk.

What is your favorite word ?

I don’t think I have one.

What is the sound, the noise that you love  ?

The sound of the waves on the beach.

What is the plant, tree or animal which you would love to be reincarnated into ?

A city kitten!

What is the question you would have liked us to ask you ?

None!
